Since 2017′s started, my life has been really productive (and kinda exciting) all of a sudden, so art has unknowingly taken a backseat. You sure have seenthis post. It has spread like wildfire over the past few days so I doubt there is any artist out there who hasn’t seen it. But even if you didn’t, you should read on because I’m about to tell you a handy little thing that can help you to protect your art from such assholes as the anon who submitted this bullcrap, as well as art thieves in general.
The magic word is Metadata.
Metadata is like an invisible signature that is embeded into a file. It can contain all kinds of information, like Title, date, keywords for online seach engines, and copyright information. And the best thing is, since this information is “hidden” in the code of your picture, it’s hard to remove it.
There is a nice basic tutorial on how to add Metadata, or “additional file information” to your images in photoshop. It’s really, really easy so check it out!
I’m not sure if you can do the same with any other art program. If you know how to do this in other programs / can confirm that it works the same way there, please tell me so I can add the information to this post.
Adding the Metadata will not stop idiots from taking and reposting your art. It also won’t make them stop editing out your signature. It WILL however, help you prove that you are the original artist whenever you have to. Always remember my friends. You, the artist, are protected by law. No one has the right to take your intellectual property and hard work and repost, use or edit it without your permission. Ever.

Haven’t been uploading much because #Life. Here’s a quick one of Rose from Blackpink. Lisa’s my bias (like have you seen that girl DANCE??) but Rose is KILLING it on stage, seriously, that voice + those dance moves are a lethal combo. Super in love with this new girlgroup <333 The long wait is SO WORTH IT!!

As you can see, our character artist, Elzee, has finished the sprite for a new character — one of the four new love interests in the full version of LiD! What do you think?

Well, here is where the surprise comes in. You will get to name this new prince instead! We will be holding a naming contest for this lovely nameless prince starting from now!

Hey everyone! As you may know, the NaNoRenO version of the visual novel/otome, Lads in Distress, has just been released. Now it’s time to prepare for the post-Nano expansion that we’ve promised! In the end, we decided to include 4 new routes, which means we need 2 more CG artists on board to help us out, so that we don’t kill our current CG artists with workload x’D

We need 2 CG artists!
Each artist will be doing 2 or 3 routes, and each route will have 5 CGs.
This is a free position!
Unfortunately, we cannot afford payment for your services. We can only offer credit in the game.
Preliminary estimate release date is end of the year/beginning of 2017
Please note that our character artist will not resume work on LiD until July, so if you choose to work on CGs for a prince whose design isn’t done yet, you will have less time to finish the CGs (July to December)
As a result, we prefer if each artist takes on the CGs for at least 1 existing character (Mer, Zel, Nicholl) + 1 new character (Beau, Hood) [More information on each love interest above]. This way, every artist will be able to be working on some CGs from April till July.
Please indicate your preference for character routes if you have any in your submission.
Special arrangement/request for those interested in drawing for Mer/Zel:
The 4 ending CGs currently finished will have to be recolored rather than redrawn.
This is for maximum art consistency. The current CG artists who did those ending CGs do not mind them being recolored for the sake of art consistency.
Please indicate in your application whether you are fine with this special arrangement.
Backgrounds are not necessary but preferable. Simple gradient backgrounds or our custom backgrounds will do.
